The weather was again favorable for Saturday’s auction which was for the serious buyers of furniture, silver, china, oil paintings, maps, rugs and statuary. Carrigan’s late Georgian three section banquet table and set of 10 Hepplewhite style, dining chairs went for $5,950.
County artist Geneva Welsh was a successful bidder for the oil painting of a baby that hung over the mantel in the front parlor of Avon Hall.
