Avon Hall at Washington will again be the scene of the annual Independence Day celebration which will include games and contests for children, local voices from the Rappahannock Chorus, short talks by several Wakefield students, flag salute and a brilliant array of fireworks to climax the evening’s program. The public is invited by Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan to view the program from the hillside behind the Rappahannock courthouse.
