4th of July celebration
Downtown Culpeper will be the site of a day-long 4th of July celebration with a parade on Main Street at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m. with entertainment, and fireworks at 9:20 p.m. Earlier in the day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a Car and Motorcycle Show at the Depot and Davis Street. Great Meadow 4th of July
Some 15.000 people are expected to attend the annual fireworks at Great Meadow in The Plains. The fireworks are choreographed to music. There will be pony races and pony rides, polo games, a petting zoo. face painting, a fire engine parade and pie and ice cream eating contests. Gates open at 4 p.m. Rain date is July 5.
