Some 100 guests viewed Rubin’s paintings which are considered bold American realism and resemble imaginary movie scenes. Rubin formerly was the owner-operator of The Biograph Theater in Georgetown and now makes his home in Delaplane, Va. This painting, which is selling for $4,000, is titled “Cowboy's Birthday.”
