Photo courtesy of Richard Lykes Chef Patrick O’Connell of the Inn at Little Washington congratulates award-winning artist Alan Rubin at the opening exhibit of Rubin’s new paintings at the Inn’s art gallery on Friday evening. Some 100 guests viewed Rubin’s paintings which are considered bold American realism and resemble imaginary movie scenes. Rubin formerly was the owner-operator of The Biograph Theater in Georgetown and now makes his home in Delaplane, Va. This painting, which is selling for $4,000, is titled “Cowboy's Birthday.”
