Laney B. Menefee

Laney Rv+en Menefee. 75. of Culpeper died July 14 at Culpeper Regional Hospital
He was him Sept. 23. 1927 in Rappahannock County.
Mr Menefee was a member of Ml Lebanon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife. Corine Grady Wharton Menefee. two sisters, Alice Virginia Peyton and Ella Mae Menefee and two brothers, Elbert Menefee and Issac Menefee.
Mr. Menefee is survived bytwo sons. James William Menefee of Bealeton. George William Menefee of Woodbridge and four daughters, Frances Ann Brooks. Ruby M. Orange, and Betty A. Settle all from Culpeper and Juanita Kenney from Reva.
Additional survivors include, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held July 18 at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. John S. Farrar and Deacon Virgil Jones officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Barbara B. Nowlin
Amissville resident
Barbara B. Nowlin, 57, of Amissville died July 10 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Nowlin is survived by her husband, John Nowlin and one son, John Paul Nowlin from Amissville.
Additional survivors include one brother, George Raab, from Long Island, N. Y.
A private family service was held.
George H. Jenkins
Bom in Rappahannock
George Jenkins, 73, of Sperryville died July 14.
He was a retired steel worker.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by one brother, Nelson R. Jenkins.
He is survived by two brothers, Richard J. Jenkins of Boston, Frank T. Jenkins from Fairfax and two sisters, Maude Racer from Boston and Mary Atkins from Sperryville.
A funeral service was held July 18 at Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper with Rev. Oliver Bowles and Rev. Virgil Wilson officiating. Interment followed in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and
