In order to continue competing. the schools hope to increase the presence of student teachers on campus who may choose to return as fulltime faculty once their degrees are completed. Also being considered are recruitment fairs at major colleges and universities.
Other options which have been approved by the School Board include use of teachers placed through the Visiting International Faculty program, a program based in North Carolina which places qualified international faculty in schools across the country.
