Each year the Rappahannock Lions Club selects a qualified high school senior to receive a two-year scholarship to a community college.
This year’s winner was Crystal Jenkins who was awarded an initial check for $500 at the recent annual yearend picnic dinner meeting for all Lion members and their families and friends at the Rappahannock County park.
A former club president, Lion Gary Settle,was given the honor of handing Crystal her check. She is looking forward to becoming a kindergarten teacher, hopefully in Rappahannock County.
