John Chadwell Jr.

Staff Sgt. John Daniel Chadwell Jr., 78, of Fayetteville, N. C. died May 1, at his resident.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from the army having served m the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and VFW.
Mr. Chadwell is survived by his wife, Ruth S. Chadwell and three daughters, Gail L. Dasen of Cary, N. C. Faye A. Chadwell of Eugene, Ore., and Barbara Sue Chadwell of Asheboro, N. C. and four sons, Gary W. Chadwell of Pearl City, Hawaii, Mark H. Chadwell of Gamer, N. C., Lam- D. Chadwell of Edmond, Okla., and Dennis L. Chadwell of Cary, N. C.
Additional Survivors include a sister, Annie B. Mauck of Front Royal, a brother, Lawrence Chadwell of Huntly and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held May 6 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Eppie H. Burke

Eppie Hunter Burke, 91, of Berryville died July 15 at Rosehill Nursing Home in Berryville, Va.
Mr. Burke is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jones Burke.
He is survived by two sons, Charles E. Burke of Seabrook, Md., and James Burke of Rappahannock and one daughter, Dorothy Martin of Berryville.
Additional survivors include 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on July 19 at First Assembly of God in Front Royal. Interment was followed at Panorama Memorial Gardens in Strasburg, Va.
