Master of Ceremonies, Tareq Salehi of Oasis Winery, kept the evening moving with information about the wine pairings, Virginia wine history and finally the ceremonial sabreage of a bottle of sparkling wine.
A dinner for four at the chef's table at the Inn at Little Washington was auctioned off by auctioneer Doc Mitchell, who added humor to the evening.
More than 50 students from the RCHS Culinary Arts classes participated during the event and more than 20 parents, faculty, former students and community volunteers served wine, provided valet parking and general support for the evening.
Students, volunteers and guests all seemed to enjoy themselves making the evening an overwhelming success.
The event grossed more than $15,000, officials said.
