petitive and rough with very loose officiating and the day was long, resulting in some very tired and sore athletes. But it was great fun and mutual interests were shared with folks from all over Virginia.
Bob, Carroll and Bill also won the Free Throw contest, in their age group, coming in 1-2-3 respectively. The “Seniors” are looking forward to next year’s games. They may also play in the West Virginia Senior games this month and in the National Senior Games in Pittsburgh in 2005.
The Virginia Senior Games also include bowling, racquetball, swimming, tennis, badminton, billiards, golf, horseshoes, mini-golf, shuffleboard, softball, wallyball, archery, canasta, race walk, table tennis, track and field, pickle ball, road race, cycling and triathlons.
