Nine athletes from Rappahannock County High School competed in the Regionals this past weekend at Monticello High School in Charlottesville.
Anna Kreyling will be the lone athlete from the track team to represent Rappahannock in the State Meet Saturday, June 5 at Radford University. She placed second in the high jump clearing five feet. Anna is a junior, runs hurdles and relays also for the team. High jump has always been her passion. She would like to get the school record at 5’2”.
Best performances of the season were turned in by throwers Corey Voorhies, shot of 39’ 11 “ and Tymeyer Freeman, 119’ 2
Courtney Hutcheson ran the 400 meters while sister Kelsey Hutcheson ran the 800 meters, both knocking seconds off their best previous time, but missed placing.
