Rappahannock’s girls’ varsity softball ended regular season in a five-way tie for first place.
Tournament play was decided by drawing lots. Rappahannock was to play Clarke County in the quarterfinals on the Rappahannock field. Play began on May 25.
The score was Clarke County 1, Rappahannock 0 when lightning and rain put a halt to the game.
Play resumed on Wednesday and at the end of the last inning, it was Clarke County 6, Rappahannock 1. Sarah Mills hit a triple.
