cradle. Inside, the living room is dominated by an antique quilt hung over one of the original fireplaces. An old clock, coffee table and lamps fashioned with antlers, paintings by Rappahannock artists Robin Purnell, Tanya Richey, and Martin Woodward and heads of elk, moose, mountain goat, deer, and longhorn cattle catch the eye. Oriental rugs both lay on the floors and are hung from the upper level.
A dining room table, backed by a display of blue and white china fills one corner of this great room, and a wine nook, with an old dry sink, books, a stained glass window, and many bottles fills the other. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one tiny one with a Civil War hospital bed, and the other, decorated with a horse theme, with a rustic bed, 1840s English armoire, and a Chinese altar.
