Reenactment Civil War Col. John S. Mosby, who forged his reputation as the leader of the Confederate “Grey Ghost” raiders, appeared last Tuesday evening at the Blue Ridge Civil War Roundtable at the Rappahannock County Library. The living history lecture, reenacted by Jeffrey F. Smith of King George, Va., attracted some 50 Civil War history buffs from Rappahannock and nearby areas. Smith put himself into the character of Col. Mosby and talked about his daring exploits making night raids against Union supply lines, capturing a Union general and hundreds of northern soldiers and corresponding with President Lincoln.
