Joseph and Jennifer Peregory are new members of the Castleton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, having recently joined the organization. Jennifer was among those on the float, when the department participated in the Front Royal Firemens’ Parade Wednesday evening and Castleton won an award for “Best Emergency Life Support.”

We extend birthday greetings to Loren Peregory who celebrated her 15th birthday last Friday.
Sunday guests in the Joe Peregory home were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peregory of Front Royal. Running errands and doing , chores for Janet Peregory during the past week were Glenda Settle and daughters, Missy, Dinkie and Serena.
Friday . Mrs. Haltzman Frazier and friend Lorainne drove up from Fredericksburg and were met by Mrs. Ray Frazier of Turkey Ridge Road and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville, in Culpeper, and where else but at Wal-Mart.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Marjorie Gibson Brock, who passed away at her residence Tuesday and funeral services were held July 26 at her church, Nazareth Baptist, here in Boston.
Dr. Wayne Thompson, a friend to many in our surrounding areas continues to show improvement from his recent heart attack. I’m sure he desires our prayers.
