Once again the citizens of
Rappahannock County have much to be proud of as Brandy Derry, Community Specialist for Income Development of the American Cancer Society, reported that our local Relay for Life walkathon held on May 22-23 raised over $49,000 in the fight against cancer.
For a county with a population of approximately 7,000 res idents this is an overwhelmingly gracious response to a cause which benefits us all. Our continual success in this effort could not happen without the help of many committed leaders and volunteers.
The Board of Directors of the Rappahannock County Unit of the American Society would like to applaud the efforts of the Relay for Life committee members that year after year give countless hours of their time and energy to make this the wonderful event that it always is.
