Through the efforts of all these persons and the citizens of our county we have been able to do our part to support the American Cancer Sotiety reach its goals:
First: to do research to discover a cure for cancer;
Second: to provide resources to help patients deal with their illness;
Third: to deliver programs to educate us all about preventing certain forms of cancer and discovering them early enough to defeat them.
Some of those programs our monies will help provide are as follows:
• Reach to Recovery: a oneto-one visitation for women with breast cancer from a cancer survivor;
• Man to Man: education and support groups for men battling prostate cancer;
• Road to Recovery: transportation help for persons needing to get to their treatment centers;
• I Can Cope: a patient/family educational series that focuses on living with cancer;
