Planning Commission decided to advertise changes to the county zoning ordinance to not allow wholesale greenhouses in most residential zones. The county cannot go to a radio system that depends on repeater towers without replacing all the radios being used by the sheriff’s department and fire and rescue squads, according to Sheriff John Henry Woodward. Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. McNear of Washington are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Jo, to Mathew Lynn Loutzenheiser of Apache Junction, Ariz., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Loutzenheiser. The United Methodist Women met last Monday with Renee Corbin. Others present were Athena Bywaters, Mary Frances Bywaters, Alice Pullen, Louise McCulloch, Libby Wharton, Barbara Gentry, Joanie Atkins, Thelma Crane, Artis East, Mabel Lillard and Mary Curtis.
