Cheerleader

From Page A1

Hutcheson will join dancers, majorettes, flag corps, bands and other cheerleaders.

“This is just such a great opportunity and a great experience for her. I am really proud of her,” said Hutcheson’s cheer coach, Bonnie Pullen.

Hutcheson began cheering three years ago after trying other sports and not quite finding her niche. As a last resort, she tried cheerleading and is now addicted to the sport.

Not only has she found her place, but she is following in the footsteps of her mother, Melissa Hutcheson, who was a cheerleader at Woodbridge High School.

Hutcheson’s father laughed, saying he would not tell when his wife cheered at Woodbridge, but did add how proud he is of their daughter.

“Her mother and I are so proud of her. She has been to states twice and partner-stunted both times,” said Hutcheson.
