He is currently applying to colleges such as the University of Nottingham in England and also has his sights set on other universities abroad. Blubaugh sees this as a way for him to expand his horizons, to give him a broader base in a field he loves, philosophy.
With his mind constantly in motion, focusing on one thing intently has been difficult for Blubaugh. Wrestling has helped him to find his focus.
“If I don’t focus on the mat, I’m going to lose. Wrestling forces me to focus and fight to the bitter end,” said Blubaugh who added that wrestling has given him the opportunity to do something very physical, taking on another individual head-to-head.
This determination has given Blubaugh a better work ethic in college this year.
