One of those organizers, Nancy Nicholas, said that the list of those to receive the gift baskets includes needy people, disabled, mentally ill, and shut-ins.
Do they always find everyone? “We depend on people in the churches”, said Nicholas, “we always overlook somebody, we just can’t get them all.”
There is just one more category of those on the gift list. If the organizers learn of anyone who has lost a spouse within the past year, that widow or widower receives a parcel, too - flowers.
