“Hopefully we are getting all of our issues out of the way and can play strong now,” said Summers.
The team’s focus is on increasing its shooting percentage, which is 30-35 percent on the season and building a stronger defense.
Lacking defensive rebounding, Summers said that he will be getting back to the fundamentals of the game with this team in practice.
Payne put 29 points on the board against Page County with assistance from teammate Blake Yowell.
“Yowell is stepping up and getting into game time shape. He is a shooter,” said Summers.
All of the RCHS junior varsity and varsity teams, girls and boys, are participating in the Page County holiday tournament this week.
