Irwin lost a favorite pine tree in the high winds that shock the county several weeks ago.
“I planted it at Christmas in 1964 or ‘65,* said Irwin as he glanced at a large mound of earth where the majestic giant once stood.”
“Well, it’s opened up new scenery for me,” smiled Irwin who is hoping that many will take advantage of the farm’s new designation and walk on the trail that starts at his home.
