February 14: Culpeper Minute
Men Chapter of NSDAR Meeting
The February meeting of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 14, at the Culpeper County Library. A “Dutch Treat Luncheon” will be available.
The program “DAR Schools” will be presented by Mrs. Agnes Puryear. When the DAR was founded in 1890, it had three main objectives - Patriotism, Historical Preservation and Education - “to promote institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge”. The approved schools are financed by DAR members and outside sources connected to each school. The schools are for the many underprivileged children who might not otherwise receive an education. The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of NSDAR includes members from Culpeper, Rappahannock and Madison County. This meeting is open to the public.
