Hearthstone School
The high school religion class is currently studying world religions with religion teacher Ankur Rupani.
Rupani has a Masters in Spiritual Studies from Naropa University, and during this study block students are focusing on different traditions and belief structures, religious misconceptions, and the universality of religions.
They are studying Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Christianity and Islam.
The high school classes have recently completed their lesson block on major political developments and colonization as Europe emerged from the Dark Ages with History Teacher Jesse Reynolds.
At the end of the study block, students focused specifically on the European colonies in North America, the economic situation in the Colonies and how it led to American Independence.
The high school history class is now beginning their studies on the young America: Westward Expansion and America’s changing role in international politics, the U.S. Constitution and formation of the two-party system. They will then focus on the internal conflicts which led to the Civil War.
Parents are busy setting up the new library in the recently completed lower level at Hearthstone School.
