Hearing continued
The January 26 preliminary hearing of 16-year-old Mayalene Barbier has been continued until February 9. Barbier is charged with attacking her mother with a knife at their Amissville home on January 5. Due to Barbier’s juvenile status, her court proceedings have been closed to the public.

The Rappahannock County SherifFs Department received complaints from a driver on a cell phone concerning a vehicle driving erratically on Indian Run Road in Culpeper County, heading towards the Rappahannock County line. Britton Leigh Evans,39, of Stanley, VA was stopped by Sergeant Charles Moore of the RCSD on US 211. Evans was charged with Driving while Intoxicated.
