Mar. 8: Pancake fund raiser breakfast

Pack 123 will have their 5th Annual Pancake fund raiser Breakfast on March 8 at the Washington V.F.D. fire hall. It will be an all-you-can eat breakfast starting at 7.-00 a m. and running until 10 a.m. Adults are still $6 and children 4-12 are $4.00 and under 3 is free. We are serving pancakes, eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, coffee, juice, and milk. At proceeds help support our pack. Questions? Phone (571) 436-6786.

The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter of the NSDAR will meet Saturday, Mar. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at the Culpeper County Library. Presentation of the Annual Good Citizen Awards will be presented by Mrs. Thomas L. Eastham. The Annual Good Citizen Awards are presented to high school seniors with the qualities of Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism. One student from each of the following schools will be honored: Rappahannock High School, Culpeper High School, Madison High School and Wakefield High School, Huntley, VA. Mar. 9: The Kindness Project concert

On Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. at the Sperryville Schoolhouse, Headwaters is delighted to be teaming with the Chateauville Foundation to present a concert to benefit The RCES Kindness Project. The rising young opera stars of the 2008 Castieton Residency will offer their services in an “all-highlights” program combining popular American Standards, songs and duets from beloved musicals, and a few familiar arias and classical songs. This program will be followed by a meet the artist’s reception. General admission seating. No advance reservations required. Contnbutions in any amount will be gratefully received at the door.
