Mar. 10: Local Human Rights Committee

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging is seeking individuals who are interested in serving as a volunteer on the Local Human Rights Committee (LHRC). Individuals who are receiving mental health services are encouraged to apply. This Committee meets quarterly (January, April, July, and October) at 1:30 p.m. in Culpeper and is responsible for ensunng that individuals receiving mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse services are being treated with dignity, are free from abuse or neglect, and that their basic rights are being protected. Mar. 10: Relay for Life Team Captains’ Meeting

The second meeting for all team captains of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Any one thinking about participating as a Team Captain in the Relay is invited as well. If you cant come, send one of your friends or relatives to learn how to become a team captain. The Relay will take place on May 17 and 18 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Team captains should be prepared to register and provide their team's t-shirt sizes at this upcoming meeting. But. it is not too late to learn about becoming a team captain or volunteering other help. The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and Area Agency on Aging (RRCSB-AAA) will hold its regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 11. at 1 00 p.m., at its office at 15361 Bradford Road.
