By virtue of his second place finish, Diley will advance to the VHSL Group A State Wrestling Championships March 7-8 at the Salem Civic Center in Roanoke.
Stoup said Diley will us the next week to prepare and wouldn’t rule out the possibility of Diley coming home with a piece of hardware from the 16-man bracket.
“It’s wrestling, anything can happen,” Stroup said. “Jeremy will work hard and give it his all. He’d like to place at states.”
