Cub Scouts from Rappahannock Pack 123 gathered at the Washington Volunteer Fire Hall earlier this month for their annual Pinewood Derby Nearly fifty youngsters aged 6 to 10 raced their homemade cars for fun and glory at the match. First- through third-place winners were determined for each of the five age categories, filllowed
by a pack-^ide runoff to find the overall7 fastest four cars. The top racers in each category received trophies and qualified to race at the district meet in Front Royal in March. Every participant received a blue ribbon and a shoulder patch for “doing his best" — the Cub Scout motto.
