The Spring Clean-Up of county roadsides and stream banks is now underway As many citizens, property owners, families, friends, churches, schools, businesses and other organizations as possible are encouraged to participate in this annual “spring cleaning" of the county by taking the time to pick up trash and debris along roads and streams in Rappahannock County.
This is a good time to begin organizing groups, looking out for particularly trashy areas (whether older sites or along a favorite road>, and to consider “adopting a road" through the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) "Adopt A-Road" program.
The main clean up emphasis runs from mid-February through mid-April, though anyone can decide their group's clean up time and location at
