Mackie is survived by his wife of 84 years. Kathleen Flood Mackie. His daughters Virginia Anne Rurhans, Margaret M. Sanders and Lora Jane Mackie reside in Fauquier County. He is also survived by three grandsons: John Mackie Sanders of PA. Warren Currie and William Lee Mackie-Jenkins and his son-in-law Warren Lee Jenkins of Warrenton.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday. March It at 11:00 a m at St. James Episcopal Church in Warrenton. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday.
