Calm before
the storm
At Saturday's Blue Ridge races in Berryvilte, the first five races got off before a torrential thunderstorm halted action for a half-hour. The Woodley Farm track was already saturated, though, as shown by mud kicking up by Virginia-bred turf competitors, including winner Roseville Run, with star racing mid-pack early with jockey Catherine Stimpson.
