There are three key elements of traditional design that create timeless style for living — form, color and light. Combining these essentials is the art of ageless design.
Each building block plays < - vital role in the traditional home. Using classical forms of architecture and furniture, we create spaces that are familiar and grand. Color imparts the ‘emotional’ content of a space — reds are warm, passionate, blues are cool and relaxed. Finally, direct light is used to emphasize and highlight, while indirect light creates comfort.
We love the use of traditional design because it allows us to evolve our design from our past — using family heirlooms, antiques and keepsakes, while constantly refresh ing with new colors and fabrics, or a new piece of classically designed furniture.
Quality furniture is expensive, and traditional design is about using timeless styles tha combine with one another.
There's never a need to throw everything away and start all over. With well made, classic furnishings, we can recover, slip cover or add a fev throw pillows to change a room.
