Dorothy Ours will deliver a lecture on “Man o’War Revisited” at the National Sporting Library on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. A book signing will follow the lecture.
Ours is the author of “Man oWar; A Legend Like Lightning,” published by St. Martin’s Press in 2006. Ours’ book chronicles the racing exploits of Man o’War during the 1919-1920 racing seasons. Man oWar won 20 of 21 lifetime starts, broke many American and world records, and is still considered one of the greatest racehorses of all time.

Style’
Author Kathryn Musson will lecture on her new book “Hunt Country Style” at the National Sporting Library in Middleburg Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m. A book signing will follow.
“Style” celebrates the mystique, lifestyle, architecture and interiors of the renowned hunt country of America.
Masson and photogrupher Paul Rocheleau share a behindthe-scenes glimpse into the lifestyles of horse enthusiasts, interior designers and worldtravelers who live in some of the most historic areas of the country. Thorough bred breeding farms. National Historic Landmark estates, grand manor houses, cozy stone cottages and quintessential American homesteads are featured.
Restored residences thut highlight the work of Virginia architects such us Albert Hinckley, Jr. and Tommy Beach, architect of the Nationul Sporting Library are ulso featured.
Musson is a long time resident of Virginia's hunt country and is the author of “Historic Houses of Virginia" and several other photo books.
