The origin of the hand built stone wall that forms the bank of the Thornton River on Water Street, and behind Shaw's, is still somewhat of a mystery I have compiled a bit of information. but if you have old photos, know who constructed it. and have an idea when the original work was done, please contact me. Ted FVllegatta’s family emigrated from Sicily and. in 1894. opened a stagecoach stop/livery stable in Bethlehem, Pa. With the demise of the stage coach, the family lived in the former hotel and opened a restaurant which was in operation until 1979. Ted used the full, rich colors and logo created by his grandfather in1894 for his newly installed sign at Bfilegatta's Eatery on Main
