Elementary school
band students sweep competitions
Director Ben Beasley reports: “Each of the students who performed earned a Superior rating, the highest achievable mark for the competition, This is the second year in a row that Kappuhannoek County Elementary School (KCES) has swept the competition with all Superior ratings. The students who performed are as follows: Brianna Winkworth (clarinet, 7th grade); Mimi White i (lute, 6th grade); Courtney King (alto saxophone, 6th grade); (Jus Norris (percussion, f»th grade); Nathan Hale (alto saxophone, f»th grade)."
'Die competition was held at Admiral Byrd Middle School in Winchester on April 19.
