Minute Chapter
The Saturday. May 10, meeting of The Cutpeper Minute Chapter of the NSDAR will be held at the Madison Inn, 217 North Main Street, Madison. VA 22727, 540-9485095. The luncheon-meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. Afterwards members may take a trip to the Barboursville Ruins on Route 77. Preserved as a ruin after its destruction by fire on December 25, 1884, Barboursville was one of the largest and finest residences in the region. The only building in Orange County known to have been designed by Thomas Jefferson. Today the estate is run as a vineyard.
