I own it.” At least four generations of family members embraced Mr. Russell while his son Mike, home from Berlin, gave a musical tribute to his dad and entertained the crowd. Twentyfour-year old great cousin Sean McNeil had traveled from Silver Spring, MD, for the event because he had not seen Mr. Russell since the publication of Beyond the Rim and just wanted to see him again. At this reunion he discovered his barber, Mike, who is also Mr. Russell’s grandson and his cousin! Roger Yowell has opened the doors for business at 11945 Lee Highway; in the log cabin building just a few doors west of the bridge near the Rescue Squad. Roger has “fooled with antiques” most of his life. “It’s fun! You see something different every day I like meeting people and going to sales.” Roger carries a range of furniture from the more modestly priced to collector’s level.
