I believe the pending application for a conference center/resort is the best long term solution for Rappahannock County. The Miller Farm has other options to become economically viable , i.e.: to develop affordable rental housing or engage in activities that are allowed by right under the Zoning Ordinance nnd by right under the statutes of Virginia, all of which may well have a much more detrimental effect on the neighbors nnd the county. The conference center would cost the county very little and would be an overall benefit to the community as a whole.
The beauty of the Miller Farm is enjoyed by many and especially by the new neighbors who nave sited their homes to enjoy the open space views. These same neighbors have been meeting regularly with some of the County's Supervisors to lobby for their own special interests.
