Saturday, Feb 14: Pickin’ Party at Sperryville Volunteer Fire Hall at 6 p.m. Mountain Hollow Band, led by Leon Ervin, is a sixpiece group from Page and Rockingham counties and has a CD with the same name as the group. Flat Run Band, led by Phil Wemmerus, has four members from Lake of the Woods and the fiddle player is from Screamersville in an old section of Spotsylvania County. This group plays folk music and old timey country, or prebluegrass, as Phil described it. There were a few dancers last month, so let’s see more dancing this Valentine’s weekend!
