• The Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Feb. 12 at the courthouse on Gay Street at 6 p.m. The agenda includes: a briefing on FY2008 audit and a briefing on energy performance contracting. At 7 p.m., there is a public hearing on the proposed purchase of the Kramer Building on Gay Street for additional county offices. • The following offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 16 in observance of Presidents’ Day: All Rappahannock County government offices; Rappahannock National Bank; BB&T in Flint Hill and the Rappahannock News. • The Rappahannock News will have an early deadline for the Thursday, Feb. 19 edition due to the holiday.
