man ana tne fun ivioon is the first film to be shot at Lorin and Dietlinde TurbanMaazels’ Castleton Farms, and a first for the Maazels’ Chateauville Foundation which has sponsored music and arts programs at the Castleton theater for the past 10 years. In addition to volunteering to act in the project, provide props, and the location, the foundation put up the cast and crew and fed them during the duration.
“Elah and the Full Moon” is director Vera Mulyani’s second short film - her first was screened last year at Cannes. Mulyani, who is from Indonesia, is a student at the New York Film Academy. This film is her “thesis,” but it will also be her calling card to industry professionals and producers.
The story is a retelling of a Greek myth about an adoring moon goddess, Selene, desperately in love with a mortal man, Endymion - a shepherd played by New York actor Simon Miller - who. with her first kiss, sends Endymion into an eternal sleep. Zeus promised Selene's lover immortality; but seldom do god’s and men mingle without consequence.
