Beth O’Ban non was named Sweetheart of Rappahannock County High School and received a crystal tiara during coronation ceremonies at the annual sweetheart dance held Saturday evening at the school. Beth is a senior and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Maurice O’Bannon of Woodville. She was escorted by Charles Dodson of Sperryville.
Elmer E. Foster of Flint Hill was recently honored by Knapp Bros. Shot' Mfg. Corporation of Brockton,Mass. Founded 49 years ago, this company has always sold its Aerotred Shoes directly to wearers through local, independent salespersons. In such a capacity, Mr. Elmer E. Foster, has satisfactorily served his customers in this area and in appreciation for his ability, cooperation, loyalty and friendship, he has received a Gold Lapel Pin signifying his membership in the 15 years of Knapp Service Club.
W. H. Lyne, Extension Agent, Agriculture, in Rappahannock County will retire from this position effective February 29, 1969. He has served in this capacity in Rappahannock for almost 23 years. Lyne has been eligible for retirement for three years, and says he finds it to his advantage in several ways to do so now.
