Congressman Eric Cantor seeking their help in petitioning Gov. Kaine for the money.

The letter asks that each of them contact Gov. Kaine on behalf of Rappahannock County to ask him to seriously consider the requests made by Chappell on the “stimulus site.”

“Right now, our focus is on educating Virginians about the recovery plan and ensuring that funds are used in an efficient manner,” said Kimberly Hunter, spokesperson for Sen. Webb.

“Sen. Warner is confident Gov. Kaine and his team will be working cooperatively with Dr. Chappell and other superintendents to make sure these one-time resources are spent wisely,” said Kevin Hall, spokesperson for Sen. Warner.

Stacey Johnson, press secretary to Congressman Cantor, said they “would do their best” to get the congressman and Dr. Chappell on thtk phone this week.
