Assessments ana tees in six annual installments beginning October 1 2009 and if any installment is not so paid a penalty of 10% and nte'est of '0% for each sjch installment which shall become liens against tne property of such person, a requirement that each user provide 220 volt power and a sewer connection to the grinder pump at the user s expense, that each user must provide an easement to the Town for installation of the grinder pump and access to such pump ‘or maintenance thereafier; a prohibition of discharge of storm water nto the system, provisions for pretreatment of waste water; report'ng requirements, requirements for waste water discharge oermit. provisions and prohibition as to the discharge of certain classes and types of substances, wastes and or hazardous wastes into the system, and provision of civil and criminal penalties for violation of provisions of the ordinance. The tap fees and Availability Assessments for structures and uses not existing on January 1. 2009 or for those who do not agree in writing and furnish sewer easements by April 1. 2009 to connect to the sewer system, shall oe $15.000 00 per unit or EDU The foregoing ordinance is a comprehensive waste water ordinance dealing with all aspects of connection and user costs and user responsibilities and restrictions. A complete copy of the proposed ordinance is available at the town ohices, the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and John McCarthy s Office during normal business hours. Tne Town Council and Planning Commission will hold on the same date and time a public hearing to adopt a separate sewer service district ordinance establishing a service district for provision of sewe' services. Council has authority to impose these charges and fees by the provisions of Section 15.2 2400 through 2413 and by the provisions o‘ Sections 15 2-2109 through 2122 of the Virginia Code. An are invited to attend the public hearing at the time and place a‘oresaid and present their views.
