Soup and soul
The Soup and Soul series held at the Middleton Inn Feb. 21 featured Chris Johns. Editor in Chief of the National Geographic Magazine, who spoke to 55 guests about the passion, hard work and openness to the natural world that is required to make exceptional photographs in the wild. In the tradition of this series, guests brought covered dishes while Denise Pearson, formerly of the Public House restaurant, prepared gumbo. The winter Soup and Soul series, originated by Ki Theatre/Spark, will be sponsored next season by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC).
