Rappahannock’s Bobby Settle has been named a member of the District 10 All Star Basketball Team. Settle led the Panthers in scoring, average and free throw percentage. His 18.5 average was third in the district.

Assistant County Agent, Agriculture, Lee Brumback has adjusted readily to his new position and duties in Rappahannock County. He received a soil sample from Gordon Thornhill of Boston. Mr. Brumback will be working with the young people in 4-H projects and will spend two weeks here and two weeks in Warren County where he is also assistant agent.

Recent new and renewing subscribers to the Rappahannock News which are acknowledged with appreciation are Stanley Magee, Grover M. Huff, Mrs. B. B. Williams, Miss Lucy Estes, Mrs. R E. Patzing, John Affleck, Mrs. Wade Pullen.
