Castleton resident and fifth grade Rappahannock County Elementary School student, Hannah Bennett, and her Girl Scout Troop (#628) visited the Rappahannock Senior Center in Washington on Feb. 17.

Hannah shares her good experience: “We made decorative soaps together and the Girl Scouts got an opportunity to get to know some of the seniors a little better. There was one lady, named Harriette, who was very funny. I loved to hear her stories of the “good old days”. She wrote down my name in a little notebook. She told me she writes down the name of every new person that she meets. I want her to know that I have written her name in my heart and she is now my friend for life! I really love the many ways that scouting has helped me to get to know my county and the wonderful people who live in it.” Castleton Theatre
