The November election could change the local political situation with 15 positions on the slate—all of the county's constitutional offices, the school board and Board of Supervisors.
All of the incumbents said they would run again, except Hampton supervisor Mike Massie and school board member Bryant Lee. School board member Rosa Crocker could not be reached for comment.
School board members Aileen Johnson and John Tole, as well as supervisor Ron Frazier, all said they would probably run again unless strong candidates whom they would support came forward.
Joann and Frank Berta of Castleton have given birth to an enterprise, “Berta Babies," that may help them to realize their dreams. Frank gets up early each day and crafts the dolls’ wooden frames. The frame Frank constructs is what makes the dolls so lifelike since their faces are obscured by hats, hair, and scarves. Every doll is different. Berta babies are available in a variety of adorable poses.
Andrew Burke went on the winter camporee at Stoney Creek in Edinburg from Friday evening until Sunday. Andrew is involved in Troop 200 boy Scouts of Flint Hill. Other boys and adults went as well. They all had a great weekend.
